Prescriptions
If you are taking a regular course of medication the doctor may issue it as a “repeat”. If you require a further supply you should:
- Complete the Request a Repeat Prescription form or
- If you have registered for our online ordering service, visit SystmOnline or
- Tick the appropriate box on the computer tear-off slip from your previous prescription and hand this to our dispensary or reception
Online order issues such as forgotten passwords or usernames need to be resolved in practice. To resolve these issues, please contact our reception team by completing the Contact the Practice form.
Dispensary
Dispensers deal with all the prescriptions made up at the surgery and will issue repeat prescription requests. To register with the Dispensary please send us a request, please ask the practice using our online form.
Out of Hours Cover for Urgent Prescriptions
If you have run out of a repeat prescription, a retail pharmacy should be able to issue an emergency supply on production of your repeat slip and current box of medication. They may take a charge for this.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication need to see an ACP once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions. If you have a long-term condition we will review your medication at the long-term condition appointment to save your time and for convenience.
Please allow 2 working days before collection, and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. If you collect your medication from a community pharmacy the collection time is now up to 5 days.
If you have been advised by the surgery that your medication review is due, please complete the Medication Review form.
